This course should be the starting point for all adults whether you are a parent, teacher, coach, clergy, medical doctor, mental health professional, attorney, judge, police officer, or day care worker.
We need all adults in the community on the same page so we want you all to start with the same training.
Additional classes are provided for specific roles in the community and will build on the knowledge you will learn in this class. This course goes hand-in-hand with the book entitled 8 Ways to Create their Fate: Protecting the Sexual Innocence of Children in Youth-Serving Organizations written by Diane Cranley, our Founder. This course is referred to as Module #1 in the book.
It is best if the class is completed in a single sitting but if you get interrupted you will be able to return to the course and pick up where you left off. If you are married or co-parenting with someone else, we encourage you to take the class together.
We will guide you through an exercise during this class where you will be asked to complete our Child Sexual Abuse Assessment Worksheet. So please download and print it before you start the class. If you are unable to do so, you can use a blank piece of paper and come back and print it afterwards.
